Ponies season 2 renewal: A spring 2026 update

Is there a chance that we are going to hear anything more about a Ponies season 2 between now and the end of the spring?

At this point, we do certainly think there is a reasonable chance that Peacock wants to bring the show back. We tend to think that the streaming service is still working to find some consistent scripted hits. They’ve had some in Twisted Metal and All Her Fault that drew some buzz, but this one may have the most upside of any moving forward. You have two noteworthy stars at the forefront of the series in Emilia Clarke and Haley Lu Richardson, and also a lot of intrigue and espionage — two things that are often great for the foundation of any show.

So is there any chance that we are going to hear more on the future soon? We would certainly love that opportunity to get that but at the same exact time nothing is confirmed. The streaming service does tend to take their time announcing renewals, mostly because they can. There is no inherent reason for them to hurry things along here given that another season could premiere at any time.

We speak here in conclusion from a place of optimism, mostly because the show feels like the sort that would be in the Peacock portfolio for not just a season 2, but also more after the fact. There are so many ways to expand this world, and we tend to think that thanks to the continued success of the larger Game of Thrones universe, there are going to be people who keep thinking of Clarke in one form or another.
