Next week on CBS you will have a chance to see NCIS: Origins season 2 episode 14 and based on what we know already, one thing feels clear: This is one that could hit viewers right in the feels.

After all, if there is one thing that so many of us are sensitive to, it is bad things happening to animals. Why do you think that John Wick movies became so popular? This upcoming episode is going to revolve largely around Gary Callahan and by extension of that, Mike Franks. Why happens when the K-9 agent is wounded? How quick will everyone else get justice? You better believe that they are going to act fast while, at the same time, we also have a chance to learn a little more about Mike Franks.

To get a few more details right now on the road ahead, be sure to check out the NCIS: Origins season 2 episode 14 synopsis below:

“The Beautiful Ballad of Gary Callahan” – When the team’s trusted K-9 agent, Gary Callahan, is critically wounded at a crime scene, NIS races to track down the culprit while a surprising pre-Pendleton chapter in Franks’ life is revealed, on NCIS: ORIGINS, Tuesday, April 7 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on demand for Paramount+ Premium plan subscribers, or on demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*.

We do recognize that a significant chunk of the story of this show is meant to be about Gibbs and for good reason — however, at the same time they have done a wonderful job also allowing us to learn about Franks. This is someone who is so formative to who Gibbs is, and that does make a lot of his spotlight stories a little bit more special.
