MobLand season 2 premiere date hopes as filming winds down

Do we have an official MobLand season 2 premiere date at Paramount+ just yet? Not quite, but there is more evidence we are closing in on one.
After all, for at least some actors behind the scenes on the hit drama, filming is already wrapping up! In a new post over on Instagram, Emmett J. Scanlan confirmed that he has wrapped work on the upcoming batch of episodes. Other actors may still be finishing up, but we are reaching a point now where a lot of the story is in the can and with that, post-production can be the priority as much as anything else.

So with this really great news in mind, what can we project insofar as a premiere-date window goes? Well, from where we sit we tend to think it would be a delight to get MobLand season 2 back at some point in the mid-to-late summer, potentially not too long after the release of another Paramount+ show in Lioness. This would also be a great way to keep viewers subscribed while they wait for some other stuff. By that time, we imagine that The Dutton Ranch will be over, and we will not have the premieres yet of Landman season 3 or the fifth and final season of Mayor of Kingstown.
Yes, it is true that Taylor Sheridan does remain a real driver of content for the aforementioned streaming service. Yet, what the Tom Hardy – Pierce Brosnan show represents is something a little bit different and unique. This is an opportunity to expand the portfolio a little bit, especially since the first season was such an enormous hit. It caters to the action / drama crowd while at the same time, delivering some great performances from well-known actors.
