Paradise season 3: Is Jane really dead? Will she return?

Given that we have now made it more than 24 hours following the Paradise season 2 finale, this feels like the perfect time to discuss the big Jane question. Is this character, played by Nicole Brydon Bloom over the past two seasons, actually gone for good?

Well, we do understand why there would be some confusion here, largely because her body was missing from Torabi’s shower area in the closing minutes of the season 2 finale. However, does this mean that she got up and walked away? Hardly. At the time in which Gabriela killed her, she did not know that the entire bunker was about to be on lockdown. By virtue of that, she likely disposed of her body somewhere else in case people came knocking.

Perhaps the bigger piece of evidence here comes courtesy of executive producer John Hoberg, who had the following to say to The Hollywood Reporter:

She was stabbed and was bleeding and laying dead in a shower. There is a shot at the very end where there’s an empty shower, but she seems pretty dead to me. We intend her to be dead.

Could the character still return?

Well, remember that this is Paradise we are talking about and by virtue of that, this is a sort of show where almost anything is possible. We would almost be shocked in the event that we did not see something like this, whether it be flashbacks or dream sequences. Then again, with the idea of time travel / manipulation with Alex, you also have to consider that she could find a way to emerge again — especially since Alex and Jane were tied together not that long ago. With a show like this, you really do have to prepare for just about anything.
