Saturday Night Live: Colman Domingo to make hosting debut

There are new episodes of Saturday Night Live returning to NBC next month, and let’s just say there is so much to be excited for in advance!

Where do we start? Well, it is worth noting that following the April 4 episode featuring Jack White and Jack Black, April 11 is going to mark the hosting debut of Euphoria / The Four Seasons star Colman Domingo. The actor is as versatile as they come, as we have seen him do everything from sketch comedy to zombie drama. This is a really inspired choice with that in mind, and we honestly think he could surprise people with some of what he brings to the table.

Joining Domingo on this upcoming SNL will be Brazilian singer Anitta, and we are still waiting to see if there is going to be an installment on April 18. We would not be surprised if that ends up being the case, and then there is another break leading into the home stretch of the show in May.

If there is one thing to watch over the next month and a half, it is the long-term future of a number of cast members. Colin Jost, Michael Che, and Mikey Day have all been around Studio 8H for a long time now, and that is without even mentioning the stalwart that is Kenan Thompson. Given that there has been a lot of turnover the past couple of seasons, we really hope that this is not the case this time around. SNL has a good mix right now between established talent (think Sarah Sherman or Chloe Fineman) and relative newcomers like Ashley Padilla, who has been absolutely outstanding despite still technically being a featured player.
