As we get closer to the end of The Pitt season 2 on HBO Max, it looks like another bit of TV royalty is coming on board. After all, Mary McCormack is set to appear in a notable role that at least in theory, could be around down the road as well.

According to a report coming in from TVLineThe Wing Alum will be around in episode 13 as neurosurgeon Dr. Linda Conley. (The site notes that Shawn Hatosy will also be around, meaning that we have not seen the end of Jack Abbot, either.) McCormack has worked with star Noah Wyle already, as she appeared for a stint on ER — a series that a lot of people did over the years in one form or another.

To go along with this casting news, we can also note that Noah’s real-life wife Sara Wyle is also going to be appearing in this same episode as patient Ashley Davis. These episodes filmed a good stretch of time ago, so the producers have been able to keep these secrets for a little while.

There are only a handful of episodes to go here on The Pitt season 2 and by virtue of that, we really just have to hope that there is a lot of drama and exciting stuff right around the corner. It is our hope here that we are going to be seeing Robby and some other characters work through their issues and yet, at the same time we are acutely aware of the fact that not all that much is guaranteed. This is an extremely stressful day, and we are also dealing with a lot of people here who have a proclivity for being as stubborn as possible.
