Australian Survivor: Redemption episode 16 preview: Will Caleb rise to power?

As we now look towards Australian Survivor: Redemption episode 16, it does feel like we have reached a new phase of the game. Mark is now gone after doing whatever he could to stick around. Meanwhile, Caleb is the one who ultimately cast the deciding vote.

Let’s just eulogize Mark here by saying that despite being an amazing player who did pull off some incredible moves, he did put too much trust in a guy who had a tirade about wanting out returnees earlier in the season. He also just had the numbers stacked against him and his threat level was too high. All of this can be true.

Moving forward, the interesting thing is that we still do not think Caleb will be an immediate target — even by the people who expected his vote at the last Tribal Council. Ben still remains the leader of the other alliance and with the way he carries himself at camp, we’re not sure he will be able to temper the target on his back. Meanwhile, Brooke and Simon remain huge immunity threats and pending another idol find, only one of them will be safe at a given Tribal.

Speaking of idols, it does seem (per the preview for what is ahead) like we are going to see Keeley and Brooke work together now on some sort of fake idol plan, even though we’re aware the former has a real one. These two plus Simon are clearly on the bottom now, so they are going to have to find a way to either be crafty, or try to figure out a way to ensure that the numbers flip back to their side. They do at least have going for them the fact that this is a long game and through that, there is so much time for a lot of things to shift and evolve.

What do you think we are going to be seeing as we move into Australian Survivor: Redemption episode 16?
