When Calls the Heart season 13 finale: Are Elizabeth, Nathan engaged?

We will admit that heading into the When Calls the Heart season 13 finale on the Hallmark Channel tonight, one question was on the minds of many. Did we see Elizabeth and Nathan get engaged over the course of it?

We know that for the past couple of weeks in general, Kevin McGarry’s character has really tried everything within his power to make something happened. He’s planned things out, consulted with Allie, and really tried to make the moment perfect. However, at the same time, there is still a fear that if you wait too long, the moment can pass you by and that is a totally separate problem within itself. You want to be romantic, but at the same time, practical enough so that you don’t just wait around forever.

Through the first half of tonight’s finale, let’s just say that the producers did very-much keep us waiting as Nathan continued to struggle to fight the right way to make it happen. That continued as we went through ceremonies, speeches, and even a massive dinner.

Did we actually get it?

Well, in the closing minutes of the finale, it felt as though Nathan had finally found the moment to ask the all-important question — only for Erin Krakow’s character to take him away. They climbed up the water tower in Hope Valley, facing a fear and having a beautiful moment. As it turns out, that was the perfect time to make the proposal happen. He delivered a fantastic speech, showed her the ring, and now, the two are officially an engaged couple! Now, we do have something wonderful to look forward to in a wedding in season 14! Or, at least we hope that this is when it happens.
