Fallout season 3 premiere date: Three components to consider
We do not think that it is all that much of a secret out there that we are going to be waiting for a good while in order to see Fallout season 3 arrive on Prime Video. However, there is a clear commitment behind the scenes — nobody seems keen to make you wait for all that long.
With that being said, though, are there still a few different reasons why the new season is most likely more than a year away? Absolutely, and we do think this is important to break down a little bit further. Just go ahead and consider this your timeline as we look more towards the future of the Wasteland, and also adventures for the likes of Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus.

1. The start of production – For those who have not heard as of yet, everyone should be back on set around the end of April / early May. From there, it is our feeling that they will be hard at work for most of the remainder of the year. There is only so much footage that can be shot in a given day, after all, and that is probably true even more for someone like Walton Goggins given how long it may take to get all of that makeup on as the Ghoul.
2. The lengthy post-production process – This is not Landman or one of those other shows where things can be turned around reasonably fast. Instead, this is a process that takes a long time in order to get from point A to point B due to the visual effects and elaborate action sequences.
3. When Prime Video actually wants it back – Given that this is one of the larger hits that they have, there is less reason to think that they will put this on the shelf for a while once it is ready to go. Still, they do have to put season 3 in a spot to maximize its attention. We are hoping for late spring / summer 2026, but time will tell if that turns out to be the case.
