Bridgerton season 5 premiere date: Is 2027 a sure thing?

Even if the end of Bridgerton season 4 is not too far in the rear-view mirror as of yet, it has hard to blame anyone who already wants to learn more about season 5. We know that it is coming, just as we also know that either Eloise or Francesca will be the lead. There is a case to made for either one at this point; whichever one isn’t chosen here will be front and center for season 6.

It is nice that we do have this much clarity when it comes to the future of the Netflix drama at this point. With that being said, though, we don’t blame anyone who is still clamoring to know the following: When is the show actually going to return? Can we really be confident that season 5 will be coming next year?

Well, the first thing that we really should say is that in this era of TV, we always have to be prepared for things to change and shift. We are lucky in the sense that the producers have already said they are working to reduce the team between seasons and with filming happening this year for season 5, we do actually feel pretty hopeful that more Bridgerton will come your way in 2027. After all, there is still plenty of wiggle room in here for post-production to take place and these episodes to be wrapped up and ready to go.

In the end, though, we are still very-much aware of the fact that this is television and through that, everything can change and it often does. Even when these stories are done, Netflix could still decide to hold off on airing season 5. They often do have the final say on such matters.
