First and foremost, though, let’s begin here by sharing a bit of the bad news, which is that the Kathy Bates legal drama is going to be on yet another break soon. We know that this is frustrating, especially since it was not that long ago that the show was off due to the Olympics. This time around, sports is once again the reason, as CBS is going to be broadcasting instead the early part of the NCAA Tournament and that is going to last for at least a few weeks.

For now, the plan appears for episode 12 of Matlock season 2 to air come April 2. It would be great to have more information here as to what lies ahead but unfortunately, we aren’t so lucky and the powers-that-be are keeping that under wraps. Odds are, that will change over the next week or two. Functionally, there is probably not that much of a change coming with the format of the series, meaning that Matty, Olympia, and others are going to be taking on a difficult case while at the same time also dealing with some personal crises.

No matter what happens the rest of the season, at least you will be moving into the next part with the full awareness that we are not at the end of the road. There is a season 3 coming, and our feeling at this point is that it is going to start airing at some point in September or October. More news on that will be coming this spring.
