Bridgerton season 5 premiere date: The worst-case scenario

At this particular point in time, we consider ourselves lucky to have the information we do when it comes to a season 5 of Bridgerton. We know that it is coming, just as we also are aware of the goal to get the show back into production very soon.

Now, do we know for sure that Eloise or Francesca will be the lead? Not so much, but that information is coming in due time. For now, let’s take a look at a slightly different question: What is the absolute longest we could be stuck waiting for the show to return?

Well, at this particular point, it is already very-much clear that the Netflix period drama will not be back this year. The same goes for early 2027. Even if things are moving a little bit faster than they have in the past, the producers are not miracle workers. This show takes a good while to film due in part to all the elaborate scenes and expensive costumes, and it then has to be edited extensively after the fact.

Now, the good news here is that Bridgerton does feel like it could be back in the spring or summer of next year. For the time being, we would argue that the worst-case scenario is the fall. After all, waiting any longer than that would render any quotes from the producers completely irrelevant — that would be just as long of a wait between seasons as what we’ve seen in the past.

(Personally, we tend to think that the biggest reason we’re getting a smaller wait this time around is tied to the upcoming seasons being ordered so far in advance.)
