9-1-1 renewed for season 10 at ABC — plus more 9-1-1: Nashville!

For those wanting to go into the remainder of 9-1-1 season 9 with some incredible hope for the future, there is good news coming your way!
Today, the folks over at ABC officially confirmed that the long-running series starring Angela Bassett is going to be back for another batch of episodes. This comes on the heels of a season that certainly had its fair share of risk. It marked the first one without Peter Krause around for the full year, and it certainly remained to be seen how viewers would respond. The ratings have remained solid for the series, though we would not be surprised if there are budget cuts somewhere on the series moving forward. (After all, some of these are just standard for a series that has been around for this long.)

To go along with the news that 9-1-1 is coming back, we also can go ahead and share that the spin-off 9-1-1: Nashville is, as well! We will admit that personally, it took some time for us to get fully immersed in this world and some of the characters. However, that has happened over time and we are in a spot now where we do think there is even more room for the series to grow moving forward.
At some point later in the spring, we do presume that more information about both of these shows will come out — including other insight on when they will each premiere. We tend to think that an October start for both makes sense, and that they will air in batches much like we often tend to see with the Thursday-night lineup over at ABC.
