Tomorrow night on CBS you are going to have a chance to see Survivor 50 episode 2 arrive — and based on what we’re seeing, Kyle’s exit is hitting some players hard.

If you head over to the link here now, you can see a sneak preview where Genevieve laments losing the former winner on the Vatu tribe following his medical evacuation. It is almost a startling clip given that she is so iconic for not playing with a lot of emotion or personal relationships — yet, here we see her more torn-up than we did through almost the entirety of her first season! It is a real reminder that Kyle was really set up well to potentially win again following his injury, which does make us think there is a chance we see him come back for another round at some point down the road.

As for how Genevieve could recover, we do not want to assume that she is in a super-amazing spot moving forward. After all, two people in her alliance in Q and Colby both lost their votes in the premiere, meaning that she is not even in a majority alliance at this point. She may have to hope at this point that her group can win an immunity challenge or two and if that happens, they can be smooth sailing for at least the relatively near future. A tribe swap will likely hit eventually and from there, she can pivot into a situation where she is a little more insulated.

If there is anyone who we do trust to find a way to push forward, it is Genevieve — she was a target for a long time on season 47 and yet, constantly found creative ways to keep fighting. We remain thrilled to see what her evolution will look like now.
