House of the Dragon season 3 premiere date: When to expect it now

Over the course of this past week, we had a chance to learn many details about House of the Dragon season 3 — yet, one thing is missing. After all, we still do not know an exact premiere date!

So why hasn’t there been an exact reveal yet, especially since the finale for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms just aired on the network? We covered some of this recently, and the biggest thing that we can say is that we still have too far to go, especially since we are likely four months away from it being back. HBO still has plenty of time and from where we sit, they seen no real reason to hurry much along.

Now if you are wondering when we could theoretically learn more, the simplest answer that we can offer is at some point in late March or early April. Clearly the network does not want to use up all of their promotional capital on the show now, as there are some more opportunities to push and promote it a little bit later on. If we are lucky, such an opportunity could be alongside Euphoria, the next enormous hit HBO has on the schedule.

As for what we know about season 3 already…

Well, to keep it simple, it is going to be as big and epic as anything that you’ve seen in the Game of Thrones world so far. While Seven Kingdoms was more about the small folk, we are building into a world here that will have enormous battles, plenty of dragons, and notable figures from all over Westeros. There is even an epic showdown in the Battle of the Gullet coming almost right away!
