The Pitt season 2 episode 8 promo: Is Robby about to fall apart?

Based on the promo that we’ve had a chance to see now for The Pitt season 2 episode 8, one thing very-much feels clear: Robby may be finding himself with a problem he cannot handle.

After all, we learned at the end of episode 7 that the entirety of the ER is going to need to shift to analog now that the tech systems are being shut down. This means everyone will have to wing it with their patients, not relying on digital charts or anything else. Attention to details is key, and it is made even harder by the fact that there are so many patients coming their way due to Westbridge.

If you head over to the link here, you can see how this is immediately impacting Robby as there are checks on how he is doing. Meanwhile, he’s also lashing out at Dr. Al, who seems to be taking over authority in various situations and then cluing him in on her actions later. Noah Wyle’s character has been trying to just “make it through the day” and avoid his problems for most of the season. It really did feel like it was inevitable that this was only going to work for so long.

As for some other notable things from the promo, it does seem like Dr. Abbot is sticking around and given the situation, that is a good thing! It does not appear as though the hospital is going to be removing itself from its current situation for at least 24 hours, so this analog system could be lasting the rest of the day. In the interim, everyone will just have to hunker down and communicate with each other — the only way out is through.
