Even though The Night Agent season 3 just premiered this week on Netflix, there is still room to discuss season 4!

First and foremost, you should just move forward with the knowledge that another chapter of the action/drama is almost certain to happen. For the time being, we’ll go ahead and consider it a formality. However, there are still questions aplenty regarding what the story will look like. How will it begin, and will this be the third season in a row to start things off internationally?

In a new interview now with Deadline, executive producer Shawn Ryan had the following to say about the latter question, and indicated whether the show will start in another part of the world or stateside:

“I don’t want to say too much about Season 4, but I will answer this particular question … We don’t want to get into a rut so at the moment, there is no international location planned at the beginning of Season 4.”

While it would have been nice to see something big and flashy with this show almost right away, we also recognize the reasoning behind steering clear of it. From where we stand, you do want to make each The Night Agent season feel like its own thing. That is also one of the reasons why Ryan and the other writers are trying to avoid having the same exact cast every single time. The show morphs and changes depending on the job.

Now, do we think there is still a chance that the fourth season manages to make it somewhere international later on in the season? Let’s just say, at least for now, that it is certainly something we cannot rule out.
