Survivor 50 video: Does Rick Devens have any more tricks?

There are few players we are as excited to see for Survivor 50 as Rick Devens. He felt like one of the most no-brainer all-stars in recent memory, but unfortunately played at a difficult time. This is the first returning-player season following his own where he could have come back, so he’s really just taken advantage of the opportunity that is ahead of him.

Now, is there any real chance that he comes back here and dominates in the same way he did part of Edge of Extinction? Well, that remains to be seen…

What we can say here is that if you head over to the link here right now, you can see a new video in which Devens details some of his gameplan heading back into the CBS show. He recognizes that he has a resume now, but there are some things that remain unchanged about him. He is a smart, resourceful player who really understands the value of advantages and idols. He’s found some, but then also used fakes better than almost anyone to keep people on their toes. He came really close to winning the first time around, and we will say that this season sets up well for him. He is a target, but is he as big of a target as some of the other winners out there?

Our sentiment for Devens is that in the early part of the game, he can accumulate whatever allies and advantages he can without bringing too much attention to himself. Yet, he’s best suited to save the theatrics for when he actually needs it and avoid the early mistakes that he made the first go-around. After all, it does not seem like there is any sort of Edge of Extinction out there this time around.
