As you prepare to see Lord of the Flies season 1 episode 3 on BBC One, why not share a few more details for what lies ahead?

First and foremost, let’s just start with the rather simple fact that there is a story airing on February 22. While the show’s timeslot companion in Call the Midwife is being preempted due to the BAFTAs, that will not be the case here. The adaptation is still going to air at the same time, and we are going to see a lot of drama — and also development at a pretty rapid pace. This is only a four-episode series, a reminder that there is a real attempt here to tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end. On that level, the goal is to try and make this a faithful story all humanity — but also what happens when you stranded in this particular wilderness.

Just as been the case all season, BBC One is not giving away too much in advance about Lord of the Flies season 1 episode 3. Nonetheless, you can see the synopsis below:

Simon tries to warn his friends as the latest beast sighting spreads terror across the camps.

If you missed the news…

Netflix announced over the past few weeks that they have acquired the U.S. rights to the series, meaning that if you are waiting to check out the show stateside, there is going to be a chance to check it out before too long. Of course, this is something really important to the BBC, as well — they need their content to be seen globally in order to justify the budgets. That is one of the things that is paramount to another show’s future in Doctor Who.
