Slow Horses season 6 premiere date: The best-case scenario
We do find ourselves very eager to check out Slow Horses season 6 on Apple TV as soon as humanly possible — and for good reason! We would argue that from a character and writing standpoint, season 5 is the best one we’ve had a chance to see. A lot of Slough House got a chance to work together and in the process of that, we also learned a great deal more about Jackson Lamb.
So what do we know about season 6? There is a chance that you have seen the official logline already: “Season six sees the Slow Horses on the run as Diana Taverner embroils them all in a fatally high-stakes game of retaliation and revenge.” That may not be the most detailed story account that we’ve had a chance to get, but we do want to see Diana front and center as First Desk.

So while we tend to think that August or September is the most likely premiere-date window for Slow Horses season 6, is there a best-case scenario mixed in here, as well? If so, we think that it would be around mid-June. That is the earliest that the show could return while being eligible for a separate Emmy year than season 5, and there is no real reason for Apple to bring it back before this. The truth here is that they have some flexibility, mostly due to the fact that these seasons almost all end up filming far in advance — that does mean that the streamer can bring them back whenever they want.
(For us personally, the thing that we are the most satisfied with is simply knowing that season 7 has already started to film, meaning that the future of Slough House is cemented for some time.)
