Fallout season 3: Will we finally see synths appear?
As we look more towards Fallout season 3 over on Prime Video, is an important part of the past destined to turn up in the forefront?
Well, given the fact that the video-game adaptation has now featured everything from super mutants to the New California Republic to even Caesar’s Legion, we do tend to think that at some point, synths could also rear their heads. There have also been a number of theories out there suggesting that we may have met one or two already, though that has not been confirmed.

What we can at least say at this point is that synthetic beings are baked heavily into the lore of Fallout 4, and that is a game season 2 touched on briefly by referencing the Brotherhood of Steel chapter within the Commonwealth. Given that there are some endings of that game that leave the Brotherhood destitute, it was a little bit of a surprise to see them around at all. You could make the same argument about synths following certain endings of the game, but a similar argument can be made: There is time between the game and the TV show, and a lot can change and shift around.
We do think that in general, seeing synths on this show is a matter of when rather than if. However, there are challenges that come with bringing them onto the show, namely that they can be so well-disguised that they are near-impossible to differentiate from humans. Also, synths do not always even know that they are synthetic, and that causes a number of other issues at the same exact time. We do think they can get overly complicated really fast, so you do have to operate with some sort of careful touch. Also, there’s a chance most of them are still concentrated on the East Coast.
