We certainly know that as of late, there has been a ton of discourse related to A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and its individual run times. Do we understand? Without a doubt. It is easy to want more from a show like this, one that has been universally beloved and so well-received. Episode 4, for example, has some of the best ratings of any show in the entire franchise.

So are we getting a little something more from episode 5? Well, that’s all depending on your definition of more, really…

Based on some of the early programming guides that are out there from HBO, episode 5 (which is titled “In the Name of the Mother”) is going to run for around 39 minutes. That at least makes it longer than some other episodes we’ve seen as of late and honestly, we will take whatever we can get at this point.

This episode does seemingly have a lot of ground to cover all across the board. Just remember for a moment that the top story here is really all about the epic Trial of Seven with one group facing off against the other. Characters could die and yet, we are hopeful that Dunk and Egg make it through. How are we going to have a season 2 otherwise? To us, the real question here is just how much of what we see here is going to eventually play into how House Targaryen is perceived moving forward. this was already a dynasty in decline without their dragons, but will the public appreciate them more now that someone like Baelor has stood up for what is right? It is at least a fascinating thing to consider.
