A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode 4: The early launch

If you were not excited enough heading into A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms season 1 episode 4 on HBO, here is yet another reason to be. You are going to see the show arrive on HBO Max sooner than expected!
Following the show’s initial airing of episode 3 this past Sunday, it was revealed that the next chapter is going to be available for streaming subscribers on Friday. If you are unaware of the reason why, let’s just go ahead and say that this is very-much tied to the fact that Sunday is the Super Bowl and HBO does not want to lose any buzz for their scripted shows because of it. The Game of Thrones prequel will be airing still that night along with Industry, but this is another way to get into the story in advance.

As for what we know is coming on episode 4, it really comes down to Dunk being in a super-precarious position. He is well-aware now that he will need to do battle with Aerion in some form, but the idea of a traditional Trial by Combat is being pushed to the side. Instead, he may be forced to find other worthy people to fight alongside him. The only reason he is likely even granted this is because of his relationship with Egg, who was secretly a member of House Targaryen.
While much of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been really humorous and lighthearted so far, this could be when things get a bit more serious. After all, Dunk is going to be feeling the sting of personal betrayal. Did Egg intend to make him feel stupid? What was his endgame? Beyond all of that, he is being put into grave danger now merely because he chose to try and protect Tanselle.
