Big Brother 27: Did Rylie and Katherine break up?

Months after the Big Brother 27 finale aired on CBS, have Katherine and Rylie officially called it quits? Well, for the latest evidence of that, all you have to do is head to social media.

In a new TikTok from Katherine’s fellow cast member Lauren, you can see the two women walking with the caption of “what life sounds like when you and bestie are single in New York.” Unless they are really just trying to play into a Sex and the City vibe here, we do tend to think of this as confirmation that Katherine and Rylie are done. (At the time of this writing, Katherine has not addressed the relationship directly — she had not deleted any photos of herself with Rylie on social media, but nor does she have to.)

The Katherine / Rylie dynamic generated a ton of attention over the course of season 27, largely due to the way in which he spoke to her within the house. After the season both parties defended each other and Rylie attempted to apologize for some of his actions. They continued to date under the radar for some time, but became more public with their relationship for a short time after the finale this past fall.

While we would argue that Big Brother is one of the most successful shows for reality TV stars to find true love, it does not mean that every showmance is going to last. Ironically, Rachel Reilly (who played with Katherine and Lauren) is one of the best examples of someone who has turned a romance on-screen into something big. She and Brendon are now married and have a family together.

For those wondering, Lauren has also been linked at times following season 27 to her fellow cast member Zach. However, if we are to view the TikTok as evidence that Katherine is single, we have to say the same for her, as well.
