Survivor 50 trailer: CBS highlights history, big players
CBS has just unveiled the newest Survivor 50 trailer heading into the premiere next month, and let’s just say this one may have a far higher approval rating than the first.
What is the reason for that? Well, we tend to think that it’s rather simple, and tied very much to the fact that here, the focus is less on celebrity advantages and more on how we got here. It delivers so much nostalgia, going all the way back to the very beginning before the show was even in high-definition!

If you head over to the link here, you can see the full season 50 trailer in all its glory. There is a large emphasis on some of the early-season players including Colby and Jenna Lewis, but you also see some other icons in here including Cirie and Coach. You then have people like Mike White and Christian who realistically, should have been asked back a while ago. Finally, you’ve got someone like Dee, a fairly recent winner who may be one of the best champs the show has had in the New Era portion of the game.
You do not get too much footage here beyond the early challenges and honestly, that makes sense. Because of the way in which people online try to dig into and speculate on trailers like this, you do not want to run the risk of spoiling something big. The only thing we hope is that we do have some players from the earlier seasons who make it far, and of course that we have some of the most exciting strategy that we’ve seen on the show in a while. We do appreciate at least that CBS seems well-aware of how important Survivor 50 is to its legacy, given all of the promotion that is out there about it.
