Is Fire Country new tonight on CBS? We absolutely recognize that the Max Thieriot drama has been off the air over the past several weeks and yes, waiting is an absolute bummer. So is there anything positive that we can share at the moment?

Well, unfortunately the answer is “not so much” … unless we are just speaking in generalities about there being a lot of exciting stuff down the road. The bad news is that there is no installment coming onto the network tonight, or really for the next several weeks. This has been a long midseason hiatus, and it is going to be made a little bit longer by the presence of the Olympics. On the other side of that, you are going to have a chance to see more of it again.

So what will be coming up? Well, for Bode and Jake both, we recognize that there are some loose threads from the first part of the season that we need a little bit more closure on. Beyond that, though, we are still eager to see whether or not the Bode and Chloe relationship blossoms into something more, largely because we are looking at two characters here who have a deep history and there is a lot of material from their past that could come into the present.

Meanwhile, of course we anticipate a lot more big stuff when it comes to Sharon. She is still someone very much in the midst of a grieving process, and we recognize that this is not something that moves in a straight line. She may have more that she deals with before she makes it to the other side.
