‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: New Croatian filming locations

Want to get an even greater sense as to what could be coming your way during “Game of Thrones” season 4? That is what this article is here to provide! While there are some minor spoilers in here, don’t worry: We’re not about to drop any stunners on those of you who have yet to read the George R.R. Martin books.

According to the Dubrovnik Times (via show site Winter Is Coming), we have a few more details about the new city in Split that production is heading to. This is the first time that we have seen filming move to this part of Croatia from Dubrovnik, which has long been known as the home of King’s Landing. We will reportedly see filming happen at Diocletian’s Palace, and along with that, we also have the Klis Fortress, which is located in a village that is just outside of the city proper. The production in this location is not expected to take place for very long, meaning that there will probably only be a few minutes of footage that is shot here in the grand scheme of things.

As for some of the other confirmed locations for the new season, what we know for the time being is that there will of course be more footage in the primary setting of Northern Ireland, and there has already been confirmation that Iceland will also be on the map this time around. But what about Morocco? The location of the Daenerys storyline for the time being is one of the few currently shrouded in mystery, but more details should be available soon.
