Wednesday season 3 premiere date: A January 2026 update
Now that we are officially into the month of January, is there more that we can say regarding Wednesday season 3 at Netflix?
Given how successful the series has been so far, it almost goes without saying that the streamer is going to continue to pour money into it. In a way, you can argue that it is even more essential now that Stranger Things is done. This is a show that is almost certainly going to be pushed more and more in the weeks and months to come, especially since there is no indication (at least at present) that season 3 will be the final one.

So is there some more news regarding Wednesday that we will get before the month is over? We’d love to believe so but in the end, the reality here will likely disappoint. Because filming has yet to even kick off as of this writing, we tend to think that Netflix will be cagey about most major announcements for the Jenna Ortega drama. We would be shocked to see it launch at any point before 2027, and that is inevitably one other thing we are actively thinking about at present. We may not even get a premiere-date announcement before we get to the end of the year.
In general, we would say that the second season is a good guide as to tonally, what we tend to think the show will be moving forward. There are still going to be plenty of moments of darkness, but also the same humor you’ve come to expect. Meanwhile, it feels like we are going to have more opportunities to learn about the Addams Family at the same exact time.
