Pluribus season 2 premiere date hopes at Apple TV

In the wake of the season 1 finale this week at Apple TV, there is no better time to discuss a Pluribus season 2 premiere date, no? What all can we say about it?
Well, first and foremost, let’s just kick things off here with a reminder that the Rhea Seehorn series got a renewal back at the time it was first greenlit, showing further the faith that the streaming service has in Vince Gilligan. They made it clear from the get-go that the series was not going anywhere, and of course we are grateful about that.

So what have we heard about the second season so far? Well, Seehorn has already noted that there is work being done behind the scenes, and we do not think that Apple would want the show to have a super-long hiatus that is similar to Severance. Our sentiment right now is that it would be well-suited the see the second season premiere in late 2026, but the first half of 2027 is more likely just based on release patterns for many shows these days.
Will season 2 be the last one?
While there are no further seasons confirmed beyond this one, let’s just say that for now, it is extremely unlikely. Why would the streamer move away from one of their biggest hits ever? Also, Seehorn herself has said already that she would play Carol for ten seasons if she had her way — we’d be surprised if it goes that long, but if you think back to Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul, it will feel more like five seasons are possible for this one, as well. We certainly think that there could be enough story here, especially as (finale spoilers ahead) Carol and Manousos are now working together to take down the Joined — or find a way to do so.
