This morning HBO Max finally revealed the long-awaited trailer for The Pitt season 2 — so exactly what is at the center of the story this time?

Well, of course there is a certain part of this trailer that is routine, as Dr. Robby is about to take part in a new and complicated shift at his job. What we’ve learned now is that this may end up being the last one for a while. He is getting set to head off on sabbatical, but there are questions as to whether or not that will stick. Dr. Abbot questions if that is something he will be able to really do, and we also meet his temporary replacement briefly in here.

So what else is coming? Mel may be thinking about her love life, certain characters could be briefly outside the hospital, and it is clear that Dr. Langdon is going to have to earn the trust of those around him — especially Robby, after the argument they had at the end of last season. Langdon is just coming back to work after spending some time getting treatment for his addiction issues.

As for the time-frame of the season, ten months have passed and it is the Fourth of July Weekend. That’s one of those times where almost anything could happen at any given moment, and you have to be prepared and at the top of your game. It remains to be seen how bad things are going to get, but at one point, it seems like the computer systems are going to be down at the hospital. Shouldn’t you believe that this is going to be a pretty serious problem?
