For those of you wanting to set your “Big Brother” viewing schedules appropriately, there’s something that you should know: Tonight will be the only Tuesday this summer to feature a new episode.

Beginning next week, the Power of Veto episode will be shifting to Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, which moves the live eviction show over to Thursdays at 9:00.We’re sure you are answering the question now: If CBS was planning to shift “Big Brother 15” back to its original schedule, then why did they ever make the move in the first place? We’ve thought about it, and here’s the answer as far as we can figure. It’s all about the 4th of July. CBS obviously did not want a new episode of their show airing on the holiday, so they moved things up a day this week so that it wouldn’t happen. Next week, things will then return to the way in they were all of last summer.

There is also another reason for the move. Starting next week, the network is going to line up “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “Person of Interest” to get prepared for what could be a pretty dominant night for them. It’s best to get a jump so that audiences can get familiar with what you’re doing, and it also helps that all three shows repeat pretty well, and “Big Brother” has very little in common with a Navy crime show. (The only crimes here are sometimes against human intelligence.)
