‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: A Drew Kenney – Desiree Hartsock tease from Chris Harrison
What is Drew Kenny going to be up to on next week’s new episode of “The Bachelorette”? That, to many, is still the biggest mystery that lies within the promo that was released last night. It’s hard to tell if this is really a scene from tomorrow’s episode, or if we are looking at something that is either going to be from the hometown dates, the final three, or even the final two. No matter what happens during this discussion, it appears to be incredibly heartbreaking for all parties involved.
But are we going to come to hate Drew like all of the other largely-manipulated “villains” over the years. Based on what Chris Harrison told TV Guide following the episode, it still feels almost as though he could be a fan favorite:
“I think people have found him attractive and interesting, but a bit of an enigma so we’re finally revealing who he is and people are really going to fall for him. Until now, we were left to try to figure out if he was a superficial, perfect looking guy who’s saying the right thing and now we see this guy has major depth and a lot of things going on, and it’s all very impressive. Des was just blown away.”
The more we think about it now, the more we wonder if Drew, so long as he is not picked, ends up becoming the top candidate from this season to be “The Bachelor.” Since James Case can’t get it now (insert that sound of people losing at “The Price Is Right”), the only real contenders left, pending they do not get picked are Drew, Chris Siegfried, and Brooks Forester. We’re still putting Jef Holm as the top candidate, though, mostly because Sean Lowe declares it so. And who’s to argue with the man who brought the show ratings glory?
