Survivor 49 episode 10 preview: Big betrayals coming?

As we get ourselves prepared to see Survivor 49 episode 10 on CBS next week, doesn’t it seem like we are primed for so much chaos?

At this point, it really does feel like there are a lot of people out there who need to start playing and playing hard. After all, as of right now it appears as though Rizo is playing head and shoulders above everyone else. His social game is exemplary, and his strategic game has allowed him to keep his idol. The preview for what’s ahead did make it clear that people could be turning on each other; so what will that look like? Is there a chance more people will actually try to force that idol to be played? Based on the faces we saw at Tribal Council, it does appear as though something truly shocking could be right around the corner.

Now, in general, we do tend to think that one of the big question marks coming up has to do with another idol — in particular, the one Kristina holds. Based on what we’re seeing at this point, it does not appear as though Sophi knows about it — however, more and more people are learning and if she catches wind of it, she could use the Knowledge is Power advantage to take it from her. We imagine that a lot of people could easily have regrets not splitting up the Rizo / Savannah / Sophi trio. There is also no real awareness about Savannah’s extra vote, and that could be a problem, as well.

We will be first to admit that earlier on this season, we had a ton of concerns about the way the game was being played. At this point, though, we are starting to feel like the entire post-merge will be excellent.
