Saturday Night Live December hosts: Ariana Grande, Melissa McCarthy

After a brief hiatus for the rest of the month Saturday Night Live is going to return in December — with that, want to know about the hosts?

Given that the holiday season is an especially important time for the sketch show, we do want them to bring out some of the best hosts possible. With that, we are more than a little bit happy that they are doing that here.

Without further ado, go ahead and look at the three different host / musical guest pairs that are coming.

December 6 – Melissa McCarthy has to be considered one of the most iconic hosts of the past 15+ years, and we tend to think the show would have her back as often as humanly possible. It is going to be big, absurd, and genuinely funny throughout. Dijon will be serving as the musical guest here.

December 13 – Josh O’Connor is going to be making his first appearance on the show as the host. Meanwhile, Lily Allen will be performing. By far, this is going to be the most unpredictable of the three shows.

December 20 – Finally, the last episode of the year / potential holiday special is going to be featuring Ariana Grande as a host and Cher as a musical guest. Odds are, the Wicked actress is going to be singing at some point over the 90-minute episode, mostly because that makes sense. Cher is iconic and really does not need any introduction at all at this point. We’re ready for a massive dose of holiday cheer!

Following all of this we would anticipate Saturday Night Live to return with a new episode at some point in January. Yet, at the same time, nothing is altogether confirmed there, either.
