Only Murders in the Building season 6: Off to London?

As we prepare to see the Only Murders in the Building season 5 finale in less than 24 hours, we have some early news right away regarding season 6!
Technically, we should note that Hulu has yet to officially renew the series starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, but we also do feel like it is relatively a foregone conclusion. This is one of the streaming service’s most popular shows and in general, it has fantastic mysteries at the core of it.

To date, the primary through-line in all of the seasons has been the presence of the Arconia in New York City, but is that actually about to change? Well, there is a case to be made. According to a report from Deadline, the series may be undergoing a shift to London for the next batch of episodes. The idea may be hinted at during the season 5 finale, but what would bring the trio over there? What would that mean for a lot of the other characters? Let’s just say that there are a lot of different things that you have to be left to wonder for now.
Our major concern here is that without the Arconia, is Only Murders in the Building really the same show at all? There have been other seasons before where we bemoaned the lack of some incredibly popular characters, whether we are talking here about an Uma, an Ursula, or even a Howard, despite the fact that Michael Cyril Creighton is technically a series regular. Still, after five seasons of successful cases, we tend to give the writers the benefit of the doubt that there are some really exciting / interesting ideas down the road.
