‘Glee’s’ Heather Morris, Chord Overstreet, Blake Jenner top new Teen Choice Awards nominations
The 2013 Teen Choice Awards have just announced their second wave of nominations for the August 11 show, and there are a few things that stand out here from the get-go: We have a number of familiar faces in here, a ton of “Glee” stars, and also some well-designed opportunities for fanbases to battle it out. This, to us, is at the very core of the TCAs: A chance for various fan followings to really celebrate their favorites by duking it out metaphorically with each other over votes.
Check out the full list of folks below up for various nods. Since we have more nominations now to talk about, we will have an opportunity very soon to yet again start up our Teen Choice Awards preview series, where you can vote for your favorite here.
Choice TV Villain – Carly Chaikin (“Surburgatory”), Joseph Morgan (“The Vampire Diaries”), Lana Parrilla (“Once Upon a Time”), Janel Parrish (“Pretty Little Liars”), Becca Tobin (“Glee”)
Choice TV Personality (Male) – Nick Cannon (“America’s Got Talent”), Simon Cowell (“The X Factor”), Adam Levine (“The Voice”), Ryan Seacrest (“American Idol”), Blake Shelton (“The Voice”)

The only bit of commentary we’ll add for now is that it is pretty funny that the Breakout Show category consists mostly of shows that are not ratings smash hits, save for maybe “Arrow.”

I can’t imagine why anyone would vote for anyone other than Heather Morris for “female scene stealer.”
