The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon renewed, will end with season 4

If you love The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon over at AMC< let’s just say that we have some news that is certainly bittersweet.

Today, it was confirmed that the Norman Reedus series is going to be coming back for a season 4. However, at the same exact time, this is going to be the final chapter of it. We anticipate production to take place once more in Spain, and the great question now is whether or not Daryl and Carol are going to find their way home.

In a statement per TV Insider about the series coming to an end, Reedus did seem to indicate that Daryl could still have a life even after the show:

“Daryl Dixon has been an incredible journey … I thank each and every fan who has joined us on this ride. It’s been a privilege to build this story for these characters, and we have so much gratitude for how it’s been embraced. Your love and support have made every moment worth it. This finale isn’t just an ending; it’s a celebration of what we’ve all shared together. Keep carrying that love forward — Daryl’s journey is far from over.”

The latter part of that statement may give some hope to those out there who still believe that on some level, we could eventually see Daryl and some other characters from the franchise come back together. We do tend to think personally that this would be a really exciting opportunity to see some peak nostalgia, especially now that Rick and Michonne have found their way home … but nothing has been confirmed on any of this. We do also wonder if Dead City could also end after season 3 or 4, and if a lot of stories will come together for a final send-off to this franchise.
