‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 spoilers: What familiar face from season 1 is returning?
When “Game of Thrones” season 4 airs at some point in the spring of next year, it is looking more and more like you are going to see at least one person that you have seen before on the show.
Have you been missing some Alliser Thorne? If so, you are going to be very pleased to know that the Castle Black resident, once known for helping to train many new recruits, is going to be back in some form in the upcoming ten episodes. Speaking in a new interview with Wales Online (while promoting his work in “Passion Play”), the author said that Owen Teale will be returning to film some more episodes on the show. The story also included the following quote from Teale on the subject of his character:
“He’s a ruthless sergeant major-type character. He’s a twisted character who’s been very damaged in the past. He’s great to play and there’s some fantastic dialogue.”
This news should give you a greater sense that production is working hard to make sure that they continue nurturing the characters that they do have already, rather than making it a huge priority to introduce every new character that George R.R. Martin has in his books. When you look at A Feast of Crows, for example, it is almost a given that a good many people you meet in that book are not going to ultimately make it onto the series.
“Game of Thrones” was recently in the headlines for another interesting reason, but also not one that producers were probably that thrilled about: Being among the most-pirated shows on TV yet again. You can read more about this very subject by heading on over to the link here.
