‘Mad Men’ season 7: Matthew Weiner on carryover from Don, Sally Draper moment
So is that closing scene of Don showing Sally Draper and his other children the house he grew up in going to carry over? The implication is that it will, but for the time being creator Matthew Weiner is hesitant to say much. Just check out what he had to say in an interview with TVLine:
“I’m not gonna talk about the coming season, because I don’t really know. But I can tell you that I hope the audience can take that for what it is: a mammoth moment in both of their lives. Sally seeing Don with Sylvia is the worst thing that ever happened to him, as far as I’m concerned. The shame — for both of them, for Sally and Don — has been devastating… I’m not being coy, but I hope the audience gives that moment its due.”
The fact that the writing process has not really begun yet really makes it impossible to ask some of the other pressing questions, including whether or not Kevin Rahm and Vincent Kartheiser are each off the show. We imagine that we will see more of each one of them, but probably not in the same sort of capacity that we have.
