‘True Blood’ season 6, episode 2 preview: Sam Merlotte’s surprise

With everything that happens in between vampires, werewolves, and even faeries on “True Blood,” there are times when the plight of the shifter becomes left in the dust. These are a group of characters that are clearly in trouble now more than they ever were before, and that’s thanks largely to a certain revelation that ended up airing on television courtesy of Luna.

As for how someone connects the dots between Luna being a shifter to Sam, that’s the mystery within this clip below from Sunday night’s new episode. A group of people, who may as well be this show’s version of hipsters, all enter Merlotte’s to the chagrin of Arlene (who really does not have much interest in trying to explain to them how little they have in the way of organic cuisine).

The major surprise here comes when one of these said hipsters approaches Sam and shocks him by saying that she knows who he really is … and suddenly, his super-dismissive attitude quickly turns to surprise and / or concern. After all, his life has significantly changed now in comparison to where he was a year ago. He’s now a father thanks to Luna’s death, and is having to rely on Lafayette in order to try and take care of Emma, who seems reasonably well-adjusted for the fact that her mother was just killed as a result on the massive attack that first began with the season 4 finale.

We don’t want to give everything away, but this is surely not the last you will see of this woman; as a matter of fact, it may be the beginning of the end for Sam’s story.
