‘Mad Men’ season 6 finale spoilers: Don Draper seems at ease in ‘In Care Of’
As of right now, we don’t think that “Mad Men” season 6 could be more mysterious about their season 6 finale if they tried. What has been officially revealed at this point is the episode title “In Care Of,” the synopsis is that “Don has a problem,” and that it will be the last episode of the show for almost a full year.
On the speculative front, there are a number of interesting angles to explore. For one, Don Draper is going to have to continue thinking as though there is nothing wrong in his world at all. With Sally Draper going away to boarding school potentially, it is possible that he could be somewhat at ease; however, she will come back at some point, and given her realization that Sally is angrier at Don than she is at her, Betty could use this to forge some sort of deep bond and try to figure out what exactly is eating away at her.
On the company front, Don is also facing some key obstacles. Peggy is infuriated at him over his frequent moves to try and humiliate Ted, while he also continues to try and figure out how in the world to handle all of the other new post-merger personalities. We can’t imagine peace coming so soon for the show, but maybe there will at least be some semblance of order yet again and of a team working together.
