‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Co-habitation for Ian Somerhalder’s Damon?

As of right now, “The Vampire Diaries” season 5 is starting to pick up steam in the writing process, which is great news given that the show is set to start filming next month in Atlanta. While most of the finer details at the moment are still under wraps, there have been a few things revealed, including that Damon and Elena are not only going to try to make their relationship work on a real level this year (as opposed to that messy sire-bond saga that we saw for most of season 4), but that Damon could even end up living with her newly-revived brother Jeremy.

In some ways, this news is even a surprise to Ian Somerhalder himself. Reportedly, Damon responded to hearing this news recently with a swear word, meaning to us that this is going to create a rather interesting situation. These two certainly have not always had the best relationship by any means, with one of the primary reasons for that being that Jeremy does not exactly approve of some of the “methods” that Damon utilizes as a means to an end.

Damon’s other major challenge this season will be dealing with a revelation that Stefan and Silas are doppelgangers of each other. He’s not going to know about it at the beginning of the season, but he’s a smart guy, and we imagine that the truth will be pointed out to him eventually. (It’s either that or he figures it out using some of those brooding-vampire detective skills.)
