‘America’s Got Talent’: Nick Cannon talks Amanda Bynes, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey
In the whole minute and a half that Nick Cannon spoke out in a new interview on Howard Stern’s radio show, we feel almost as though we had more insight from the guy than we do in two full hours of “America’s Got Talent,” where he mostly relegated himself to “guy who acts silly on stage and occasionally praises contestants.” We’ve always liked Nick dating back to his days on “All That,” and we know he could do more if the producers let him.
Anyhow, Cannon and Stern bounced around to a number of different topics, and we have most of them below. (One’s a little more risque, and you can watch the clip to learn a little bit more about that.)
On Amanda Bynes – Cannon claims that he used to think of her as his “little sister” dating back to their days on Nickelodeon, and he’s tried to reach out to her. However, her representatives have changed since going down the bizarre, Twitter-rant-infused road that she has been lately. (We’re personally hoping that she’s just pulling a Joaquin Phoenix here.)
On Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey – Nick didn’t trash Nicki at all when it came to her “American Idol” feud with his wife Mariah. He said that the two ladies tried to talk it out, but he blamed producers more for continuing to highlight the drama and almost incite it.
On “Late Night” – Cannon insinuated that there were at least whispers of him taking over for Jimmy Fallon, but he said that he has too much going on right now to be able to do this show, anyway. (The job went to Seth Meyers.)
