‘Dexter’ season 8 spoilers: A casting snippet and more
Isn’t it a little emotional to think that “Dexter” is in the process of shooting what is now their penultimate episode? Given that this show has been a part of our lives for eight years, we like to think so. We never imagined that a show about a killer could last this long, but it has, and now the question is whether or not Dexter Morgan will make it out of this series alive.
For now, what we can tell you about some of these later episodes is that no matter what transpires, it’s going to be newsworthy. SpoilerTV reports that a news anchor has been cast for the 11th episode of the season, as played by Jason Williams. If an anchor is showing up, there has to be something that the entire public is aware of; it’s possible that this has something to do with the villain that Miami Metro is chasing this year in the Brain Surgeon, though it’s also possible that this is when Dexter’s entire world could come crashing down on him. (Just imagine what would happen to Miami Metro if the public learned that there was a serial killer working among them for years.)
“Dexter’s” season premiere airs on Sunday, June 30, and it will be paired with the new series “Ray Donovan.” While Showtime is of course not putting the “Dexter” premiere online, they have put the latter’s pilot up over at this link, just in case you are interested in checking it out. Hopefully they will do the same thing with “Masters of Sex” later this year, since the early buzz we’re getting from this suggests that it may be one of the strongest pilots to hit TV since “Mad Men.”
In case you missed our look at “Dexter’s” future when it comes to potential spin-off shows, our suggestion is to head on over to the link here.

Hoping for a Clockwork Orange ending – Dexter is set free because it is too embarrassing to prosecute.
