‘Royal Pains’ season 5 spoilers: How will Divya move forward following big reveal?

If you’ve already watched the season 5 premiere of “Royal Pains,” then you are probably already well aware that the entire world of the show is changing forever. There could be an entirely new character added to the series at some point in the next year or so, and they belong to a completely different generation … pending of course that they survive.

So what has us a little bit worried about Divya’s unborn child? There are a couple of things? According to Entertainment Weekly, there is some sort of reason why Divya is so surprised that she become pregnant, and this will be explained in a conversation with Paige. Not only that, but there are some complications that are going to arise with the child fairly soon. Hopefully, this does not lead to some “Grey’s Anatomy” style freakouts. This is too light a show for that.

What we’re mostly curious about is whether or not this news will cause Rafa to re-enter the picture. We’re not sure whether or not he knows about the pregnancy, and if Divya wants him around as a dad. There’s really no other candidates at all out there, so we don’t know who else she could rely on. Dr. Sacani has to still be in the picture emotionally, buried somewhere deep underneath that crazy wilderness-man beard that he got during his time in Iceland. (We’re still shipping them hard the rest of the season.)
