‘The Bachelorette’ spoilers: A bad sign for Desiree Hartsock, Ben Scott

So how great of an actress is Desiree Hartsock really? Either she is as honest as honest can be, or she is really trying her best right now to trick most of America into thinking that she doesn’t care about one of the guys on her season.

Case in point? A clip from Monday night’s new episode of “Katie,” which is a “Bachelor”-themed episode that features interviews from Chris Harrison and others. At one point in the broadcast, Chris and Katie Couric bring out Desiree, and the subject comes up of her “Bachelorette” suitor Ben, and how she feels watching the show back and seeing how much some of the guys really dislike him. It’s a pretty sharp contrast to the way in which he acts around her, and this has to be a massive red flag … right?

Well, the funny thing is that Desiree fails at one point to even remember his name. What’s going on here? We have a few theories:

1. Desiree innocently forgets the guy’s name, which is probably not a good sign when it comes to his longevity in the competition.

2. This was some sort of deliberate diss at the guy, just to make him look like absolutely nothing to her. (If this is true, ouch?)

3. Desiree pretended to forget his name to throw people off of the scent as to whether or not he was really the guy that she picks in the end. We’re not sure if she is that great of an actress, though, given we saw how well she tried to pull off that hometown date trick with a friend on Sean Lowe’s season.
