‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 10 spoilers: Camilla Luddington, more promoted to regulars
Just from the way in which “Grey’s Anatomy” ended their ninth season, there are probably some things that were fairly easy to assume. One of them? That we were bound to see a few promotions when it comes to the cast.
Once you keep this in mind, the following news is not altogether surprising. Sources confirm that not only Camilla Luddington (Jo) been promoted to series regular for the show 10th season, but a trio of other actors in the world of interns are joining her: Gaius Charles, Jerrika Hinton and Tessa Ferrer. Basically, this means that most of the crop of interns will be back for more moving forward; the only exception to this rule is Tina Majorino, because she has a new job working alongside “Homeland” executive producer Howard Gordon on his new TNT project “Legends,” which was recently picked up to series. (We could still see her making some appearances depending on her schedule.)
This news could not come at a better time, given that most of the series’ stars will be needed to be back at work in Los Angeles next month. Isn’t it better to have this issue taken care of now rather than later?
As for whether or not season 10 of “Grey’s Anatomy” will be the last, that is still unclear. Creator Shonda Rhimes has never said that this would be the case, but many of the contracts for the show’s cast will be up by the end of this year. Therefore, you’d be looking at a situation where you would have to pay through the nose to keep the show, let alone find new stories worth telling.
For now, let’s just celebrate the good news rather than worry about the unknown. If you do want to read some more news when it comes to the future of some characters, you can do so over at the link here.
