‘Mad Men’ season 6, episode 11 preview: What to expect in ‘Favors’
If you do love “Mad Men,” then Sunday night is certainly a reason to be excited. “Favors” promises to be yet another key episode in the series, and one that gets us a little bit closer to figuring out just what in the world is going on with this show. Who is Bob Benson, and what in the world is going on with Megan? These are two questions that, if we are to believe certain sources around the internet, we will finally have some sort of answer to by the time this season as a whole comes to a close.
It’s a pretty well-established rule at this point that “Mad Men” creator Matthew Weiner does not like giving away many details about his upcoming episodes, so with that in mind, all we really have to go on right now when it comes to this episode is via this incredibly-vague synopsis:
“Betty plans for Sally’s future, while Peggy encounters trouble at home.”
What sort of problems could Peggy really be forced into dealing with? We have no real idea, given that the character does not even live with Abe anymore, which to us means that she would have moved out of that dumpy / frightening apartment. It’s possible that it will revolve around her stabbing Abe, and his writing about the situation coming to light.
As for Sally Draper, she has been so absent as of late that it is hard to really know just what to expect from her. We are happy to see Betty back, though, after her one-week hiatus following her hook up with Don.
We don’t necessarily expect a major stunner in this episode, as the 12th episode seems to be the sweet spot for that. However, we do hope that there is at least a little bit of movement on the story-lines that have been slowly driving people insane the past few months.
