‘Game of Thrones’ season 3 finale spoilers: What to expect in episode 10, ‘Mhysa’
“Game of Thrones” season 3 has been building towards “Mhysa” for quite some time, and on Sunday night, this episode will finally arrive. How in the world is the series going to wrap up all of these storylines? We wouldn’t be surprised if it really pushes the run time for the episode, but even with that we have no idea at all how the producers and writers are going to be able to get through all of the material that really lies before them in the aftermath of the red wedding.
The first thing that we should share here comes courtesy of the following synopsis, which was shared by HBO prior to the Red Wedding airing:
“Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) challenges Tywin (Charles Dance). Bran tells a ghost story. In Dragonstone, mercy comes from strange quarters. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) waits to see if she is a conqueror or a liberator.”
When it comes to Joffrey’s challenge alone, we cannot imagine that this will go well given the utter lack of respect that he has of all of his subjects and advisers. The only person who has really made any inroads at all in King’s Landing is Margaery, and the kingdom’s love of her does not have to equal an appreciation for him.
What will be most interesting to see is what this “ghost story” really contains. There is a part of us that is very excited based on what happens in the books when it comes to this development, but we do not want to count our chickens before they hatch. Surprises can lurk just around any corner, and we know that there are a few coming with some of the other characters. Get ready for more Jaime, more Lannisters in general, and also something very shocking when it comes to tying up Robb Stark’s story.
