‘Sons of Anarchy’ season 6 spoilers: The premiere title and much more
So what are we looking at when it comes to “Sons of Anarchy” season 6? In a word, “straw.” This one word is the title for the upcoming premiere, as confirmed by executive producer Kurt Sutter in his new “WTFSutter” video revealed on Friday. (You can subscribe to his weekly videos here.) The video contains strong language, but surely you already knew that.
Even Sutter himself admits that this title is vague and doesn’t really give anything away, and this is so nondescript that it is impossible to even speculate on it. At least with some of the season 5 titles we could try to either translate them or interpret some sort of meaning.
Also in this video, the showrunner takes us behind-the-scenes into the “Sons of Anarchy” post-production department, and what some of the editing process looks like for each episode. Right now, episode 1 is near completion, while the cast and crew just started shooting episode 3. This installment, for those interested, is directed by Peter Weller, whereas Paris Barclay is handling the premiere, which Sutter wrote himself.
There’s not too much else in the way of details to share for the time being, though we do have to give Kurt a round of applause for being considerate enough to share this. Are there really any other showrunners who are this willing to really show you what it takes to make an episode, while still keeping everything in terms of plot a secret? It’s a delicate balance, but he manages time and time again to work it out.
There’s no confirmed premiere date just yet for season 6, but we expect it once again to come on the air around the middle of September. For now, just be sure to share your theories on the premiere title below, and you can read the latest of what Ron Perlman has to say about Clay over at the link here.
